Jordan Trevino

Jordan was born in Weslaco, Tx in 1984.   For many years of his youth he and his family moved around Texas due to his mother’s commitments to the United States Marine Corps.  At the age of 14, they settled in San Antonio before he enlisted into the Marine Corps at the age of 18.  On January 12th, 2004, he was sent to Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego for Recruit Training.  13 grueling weeks later, he earned the title United States Marine, following in the footsteps of his mother, step-father, and 2 uncles who had previously served as Marines.  Throughout his career, from his first duty station at Camp Pendleton, CA, to stops in Okinawa, Japan, and Kaneohe Bay, Jordan completed 3 overseas deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and was promoted several times.

After serving for about 7 years in the Fleet Marine Force, then Sergeant Trevino volunteered for one of the most demanding duties the Marine Corps has to offer, Recruiting Duty.  After one of the most successful tours on recruiting duty in recent history in San Antonio, culminating with winning the coveted Recruiter of Year award and helping lead his sub-station to Station of the Year award twice, he transitioned out of the Marine Corps in February of 2015.  Some of his award include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and multiple Certificates of Commendation.  Upon leaving the Marine Corps, he began his next career working for Porsche, another prestigious organization that he saw held in a similar light to the Marine Corps.  In the last 3 years, he’s set himself apart from his counterparts and been able to influence leadership traits and principles that were adopted throughout his Marine Corps career.

Daniel Balderas, one of Mechs For Vets directors, approached me early this year about getting on board with Mechs For Vets.  Along with Daniel, we also joined with Jesus Lira, who brings a mountain of knowledge in regards to networking, connections, and his administrative expertise.  For me personally, I had always wondered to myself, “How can I give back to the Veterans who aren’t as fortunate as I am?”, and this was the perfect fit.  With Daniel’s mechanical expertise and never-say-no attitude, Jesus’ administrative and people skills, and my knack for marketing and sales, we make the perfect team to lead this organization to great heights, all in order to make a positive change and help the Veterans that have been cast aside by society, and so that no Vet that can receive our help, has to wonder to themselves how they’ll be able to have reliable transportation so that they can still accomplish their daily mission!  I’m excited for the future of our organization, but I’m more excited and being able to positively influence the lives of Veterans who’ve laid it all on the line in the service of their country!
